Halloween Costumes
Snoopy and Woodstock. They’re misunderstood by those closest to them, underestimated by the neighborhood, and completely loved by the world. Woodstock might not say any words in all of the comics but he certainly makes his feelings known. He has a lot of them and they are as irregular as his crazy flight pattern. He doesn’t need words for us to understand him. All he needs are a few tally marks, he communicates the rest through. We’ve seen him fall in love, though very briefly, it’s unwise to fall in love with a snowflake. We’ve seen him become a world explorer even though he can’t fly higher than ten feet. We’ve seen him lose his temper, lose himself in his elaborate imagination, and host lavish nest parties. We’ve seen him fall out with his birdy friends and unabashedly ask Snoopy for help, a good quality in any animal, big or small. Really, he’s the bird we all would want to be if we had wings and were three inches tall! He’s flawed, complex, and completely adorable. You have to wonder if we understood those tally marks how much wiser would we be today? That’s why there’s no better bird to dress up as for Halloween.
